Internet Archive Downloader — quick guide

Download items from Archive.org in a couple of clicks

This extension adds download controls to supported item pages on archive.org (and select partner pages), helping you save files to your device using the browser’s built‑in downloads.

archive.org/details/* babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt*

How to use

  1. Open an item page on archive.org/details/….
  2. Click the extension icon in the toolbar.
  3. If the item is supported, download buttons will appear on the page.
  4. Choose the format/files you want and start the download.

Tip: If you don’t see buttons, refresh the page and click the extension icon again. Some pages load slowly and the extension injects the UI after the page finishes loading.

No. Downloads go directly from the website to your browser’s download manager.
